Charts Partners is an accounting firm with 2 directors and a team of accounting and supporting staff.

Ken Tierney
Dip.Bus., B.Com (UNSW), CA
Ken has been a partner/director with Charts Partners for over twenty-five years.
Ken commenced work in the Queensland Government and undertook a range of systems development and audit/accounting functions.
Ken commenced public accounting in January 1979 with Bentleys in Sydney, working mainly in audit. He returned to Brisbane in 1980 and worked with Hungerford, Hancock & Offner (now KPMG) in audit until October 1983.
Ken took up the position of Audit Manager with Grahame Brown & Co (changed it’s names to Charts Partners in 1995). Ken was admitted as a partner of Grahame Brown & Co on 1 July 1984.
Ken has had considerable involvement in auditing, management accounting, valuations, and superannuation, capital gains, and fringe benefits tax. He has undertaken public company audits, valuations of large companies and assisted in the decision making at Board level of public companies.
Brian Pashen
B.Com. (UQ) Dip.Adv.Acc, CA
Brian has been a partner/director with Charts Partners since 1 July 1990.
Brian commenced his career with the Australian Taxation Office. He progressed through a number of positions gaining experience in tax audits and appeals and also conducted in-house training courses on taxation, company law and the use of off-shore tax havens. Brain also lectured part time in taxation law at the Mt Gravatt T.A.F.E for a period of 10 years.
After sixteen years with the Taxation Office, Brian decided to utilise his talents and experience for the benefits of taxpayers. Brian had several years experience with a big four firm before joining Charts Partners where he is a partner/director.
Brian has had considerable involvement in superannuation, tax audits, capital gains, GST and fringe benefits tax. He has undertaken assignments on the capital gains tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, transfers of assets and business structuring. Since joining Charts Partners, Brian has continued involvement in all aspects of tax planning and has widened his experience to include financial management, Government grants, Research and Development incentives and capital raising.
Brian’s interests include watching rugby union (he played “A” grade in the Brisbane competition) and as a former Chairman of the Australia Africa Business Council of which he has been a member since 1996.
